Checkpoint 1 – Prologue Armed with nothing but a COMPLETELY stock H3, BFGoodrich All-Terrain KOs and 2 spares, 4 MAXTRAX,  an air compressor,  bag of tools and a bottle of Slime tire sealant – for 9 days of competition in Morocco. 
These are some of the most amazing dunes in Morocco.  This is where I am referring to in the Blog Post “View from the Dune.” 
 
The Contingency line is insanity even for the stock class. 
Running the XO 250 outside of Reno.  Fun race.  Great hills and perfect for our truck.  The tall one is actually me thanks to plenty of time working on the seat. 
Often, the people and culture are more intriguing than the terrain. 
A typical site in Baja, often seen in the trash dumps where many of the race courses pass through.  No one said off-road racing is glamorous. 
Everyday starts before the sun is up at the Gazelle Rally.   4 am is the wake up call.

2009 Baja 1000 – A great race and challenging due to losing two steering racks.  We won the class by approximately 7 1/2 minutes! 
The Rod Hall Light Truck Tire Seminars happen 20+ times annually in Reno, Nevada.  We showcase Michelin & BFGoodrich products in a series of on and off-road environments and driving exercises. 
Sam Edgar’s truck – we call “Big Red.” 
BFGoodrich sets up pits along the Baja race courses.  I cannot thank BFG for all the hard work, hot meals and places to sleep while waiting for the truck.

The bivouac may look like chaos, but it is a well functioning community.

The night before heading into the haunting Erg Chegaga, it’s good to take some time to think.  The dunes are tough to navigate and have endless razorbacks. 
The Sahara – Sand, Camels, Heat.  The dunes are to be respected by drivers or else, the dunes win.  — Check out the prime Go Pro placement. 
The bivouac tents in at the Rallye Aicha des Gazelles are a hauntingly beautiful sight at sunrise and sunset. 
Seriously fun roads in northern Nevada.
